A few months back I wrote a post titled Promises to Self. Time has passed and it was obvious I needed to revisit those promises.

I have went astray like that metaphorical cat.  I originally planned on to attend open mic and begin writing and performing my poetry. The schedule for the open mic nights began to conflict with a few other important things so I have had to make that less of a priority.

However, I found Dallas Comedy House through a friend on Facebook and began to attend shows and commit almost immediately to taking classes with them. You all know how I feel about improv, and if you don’t then you need to read (yo!) I did not sign up with the group I originally intended, but I am doing it!

Dancing is something that I am just as passionate about as improv.  I will be doing more of that real real soon. At the moment I have tied up a good amount of money on some other personal training and will not be able to take the dance lessons. But I am still anxious to go out and shake what my momma gave me!

As for the rest of the ambitions on my original list, they will have to wait until at least the beginning of next year, if not later. I have found a couple more things I want to get into that I will be pursuing. Stay tuned…
